Yes, I would say that to a white, straight, cis, middle-class woman, but not to someone who doesn’t benefit from the same privileges. On many of these axii of oppression, feminism has a major history of being super fucked up. Yeah, in some circles, this has changed, but I still support trans*, disabled, and WOC to reject feminism.

I need feminism because people should be allowed to live their lives any way they see fit, even if you don’t agree with it. Sure, you can criticize the greater societal attitude that leads to that behavior, but not the people themselves.

Allspeak.There are several things I’d like to point out:
- Loki is from another world.
- He probably shouldn’t even know English…
- UNLESS he’s speaking another language that magically translates
- In most German schools every student is required to learn a foreign language for 5 years, in most cases English.
- After a couple of years learning one language, they’re required to pick up a second. And in some cases a third a few years later.
In most cases if you go to Germany, you’re going to meet people who know at least basic English.
And since that was a big fancy party that only the elite go to, they probably would have known English.
When I was in Germany, I had only been studying for about two years, so I could manage, but it was pretty bad. Whenever I didn’t feel like trying that hard, all I would have to say to a clerk or whoever was “Entschuldigung! Ich spreche nur eine bischen Deutsch.” Which translates to, “excuse me, I only speak a little German” and they would instantly begin speaking excellent English. Germans take that shit seriously!
